To celebrate National library week and Children's day library of Post Graduate Government College for Women, Sector 42, organized “Library Related Competitions” on 14th November 2020 for the students of the college. About 150 students participated in Slogan Writing Competition, Book Hunting and Book Mark Making, Rangoli Making Competition and Stand-up Comedy were organized. Students were very enthusiastic to participate. Lots of innovation could be seen in slogans Book Covers and Book Marks made by the students.
Principal Prof. Nisha Aggarwal motivated the students and asked them to come to the library regularly. She gave away the prizes to the winners of all the competition. Aastha Walia (B.Sc Med 1st Year), Shamli Sharma (MA Public Admn 1st Year), Gudiya (BA III Year) won the first, second and third Prize respectively in Slogan Writing Competition. In Book Mark Competition Narinder Kaur (BA III Year), Mansi (BA I Year) and Jasmeet (BA III Year) bagged the First, Second and third Prize respectively. In Rangoli Competition Visaka (BA. III Year), Pooja (B.Sc II Year) and Rishika (B.Com III Year) bagged the First, Second and third Prize respectively while Anisha Kumari (BA.III Year) won the Consolation Prize. Gurpreet Kaur (B.A. II Year), Archana (BSc II Year), Ashima (BA III Year) won the First, Second and Third Prize respectively in Book Hunting Competition. In Book Jacket Making Ashima (BSc. III Year), Gurneet (BA I Year) and Vandana (BA II Year) bagged the First, Second and third Prize respectively. Amandeep Kaur won the First prize in Stand-Up Comedy Competitions.
